Cabin Fever is owned by and operated by Stewart Foote, a trade certified carpenter with 17 years experience. As a subsidiary of his company Hi Quality Kiwi Construction, all Cabin Fever cabins are made by Stewart and his team on site at Opuatia in North Waikato.

IN THE BEGINNING.....

Having met his other half Melanie, Stewart relocated to her home in Waitakere and worked on his own dream home in Opuatia became their weekend project. They stayed in an existing portable building on-site but found it less than comfortable and far too cold in winter. When they learned baby Iris was on the way, Stewart began looking around for something more suitable and finding nothing comfortable and stylish enough to be used on the property once the house was complete, decided to make a cabin of his own.

That prototype incorporated the curved roof of their home and the same fashionable Resene colours and with full insulation, kept his family warm during their frequent stays.

Several passersbys and acquaintances inquired about the cabin and soon orders were taken for several more and so a business was born. Cabin Fever now produces cabins that retain the same features, look and shape of the original cabin but in varied sizes and with customised options to suit customer requirements.
